Meri Zubaani in a newspaper :)

Okay I know that this is no Oscar moment. It's not even a high school prize winning moment. But even the smallest things in life are enjoyed right? And people like us who enjoy road-side pani puri more than exotic cuisine at a five-star, enjoy zindagi ke chote chote pal sure .I'm smiling all the while while writing this. For the first time, meri zubaani is in a newspaper!!  Well, Open up today's Bangalore Mirror , page 9. Yesterday's opinion poll and the comments followed are printed there. Spot my name there? Hmmm.. that's very much myself. :)

Well, I know I know. It's just the readers' opinion column and many get published. But well, that's my words, for the first time on a newspaper!! And first times are always a feel-good-factor :). Moreover, it feels good to see that 'Dr' before my name, at a place other than my name plate and degree certificate. The last time my writings were published in those school and college magazines, the 'Dr' wasn't there. And now, hmm..all smiles, smiles, smiles. By the way, everyone  and everything has to start somewhere right? ;-)

The editing team there have edited my post here and there (bad bad). But, It's in my words at their website at this link :)

And hey ya, I wrote at their blog too. It's on their site at this link. You guys would have read that on my blog. Feels good to be at places other than your own once in a while :-)

Awww.., feeling good,
Chandana C. Shekar

Congrats! I can relate well with this post coz even i had similar feelings when my comment was published in Indian Express which was on the tragic death of Madhav Rao Scindia. To see my words printed was the biggest acknowledgment of my opinion and my feelings.
