"Falling for a wrong person isn't a mistake. But choosing to stick on for a lifetime is a crime, against yourself."
Was at a discussion forum a couple of months ago. The topic of discussion for that day was arranged marriage v/s love marriage. Obviously, the older citizens were arguing for arranged marriages and the youth differed from them. Then, this happened..
Uncle: "If you people say love marriages are safe, then why is that the divorce rates have gone high nowadays? It was never this high in our days when the majority were arranged marriages."
A friend: "That's because we atleast have the guts to walk out of unhappy marriages. And we are proud of it."
Very well said. Some conversation came up today, and reminded me of this. Relationships..Uff!!
p.s.- After reading the comments that followed, I'm changing the term 'unhappy marriages' in the line above to 'unhappy relationships'. Because that was what was actually on my mind when I put up this post. The quote from the debate was just to go with the thought . :)

Your Smile..
That lucky day,
When you gave me a smile;
It took my breath away,
As far as a mile.
Those words of yours,
Which melted me hon;
As though I was just ice,
And you were the sun.
With all your love,
And all your care;
I just don't know,
How time flew away.
When I almost thought,
You were really mine;
You shared your life,
With another woman.
I thought and thought,
What do i do??
It was no more 'us',
Just 'me' and 'you'.
I was ready to accept,
That you will never be mine;
But you ruined it all,
When you smiled at me again.
Yours,
Chandana C. Shekar

My Write-up's On An e-magazine :)
Hello everyone :) I'm really flattered that you people keep track of the posts on my blog. And I'm extra flattered that you guys are kind enough to post comments :) . Feels really great. Now, let me take you to another blog. Oops!! An e-magazine actually. It's called N-zine. The No Nonsense N-tertainment magazine. It's second edition is out and I'm lucky enough to be a a wee-tiny part of it. They had a theme this time for their magazine and it was 'Dreams'. I wrote a story :). And it feels great to see my write-up elsewhere than my blog :).
Well people, please do have a read and keep the bouquets and brickbats coming. The story is at 'Dream of Life'.
Guess what? There is this intro about me and the other contributors also! That feels so much red-carpet. ;)
And finally, This is one magazine which is the output of pure passion for writing and nothing else. It's been close to the heart of the editors out there and there are really nice write-ups which are surely worth a read. If you're browsing the net, check http://www.n-zine.com/ n I'm sure it will be long before you switch to any other site.
P.s.- I dedicate this story to two people I very closely know. M and G. Love you both :)
Party hard this weekend people!!
Cheers,
Chandana C. Shekar

Within The Ambit Of My Heart's Plea
In conversation was I, on the phone, with you
Hours passed by, but something, as always remained due.
Miles apart, but touch wood, not torn apart
Of my life, you're still everything, not just a part.
You whispered something, and a broad smile, was on my face
To witness this rarity, even time, slowed its pace.
Little words of yours hon, give me so much glee
Let this remain forever, is my only, and only plea.
Now in my room, I sit, thinking of you
At the mirror ahead I glance, and I see, something very new.
The same eyes, hadn't I seen?, since two decades?
But why today, do they say?, I may soon need bridesmaids?
Some chords, I hear, of a very familiar sort
Played from a piano, as though, straight from my heart.
Few sweet lines, the other day, you sang to me
The same music, is what lingers on, whenever it be.
Waiting eagerly am I, for that one fine day
When "Happy Wedded Life", to us, people would say.
A bit more place, in your heart, I would then claim
And to mine, would be added, a part of your name.
Would have by then, gifted my life, to its only possible heir
Not asking for myself, of it, even a little bit of share.
Im only and only yours, for now, then, and forever
Just one appeal my dear, don't shatter the dream, ever.
p.s.1- People say that the period between engagement and wedding is a very nice period. But I have no idea dude! All I know is that I have a wedding to attend this week :-). My friend, adjacent register number at college, Bindu is gettin married day after. All the secrets and gossips, fights and parties, smiles and tears,..well, she is for sure the girl with whom I spent maximum time during classes, labs, clinicals and even more than half of internship. Can't belive she is already getting married!! With a PG seat in hand, madam is all set to get settled in life. Happy married life dear. Wish you all the happiness in the world. May all your dreams come true. :)
p.s.2- This work is a fiction. I don't intend to get married in the next couple of years atleast :)
Cheers,

Random Monday Ramblings
Why is the blue water bottle in my room today? Where did the pink one go???
My brother thinks that I write well and I should write for a column or something. My best friend thinks I'm wasting time writing my blog even and I need to sit and study for my entrance.
When asked why guys smoke, a friend said, "it feels like an orgasm". Another girl replied, "Yuck! What a poor substitute."
Niluvaddamu ninu yepudaina
nuvu evvaru ani adigena
aa chitrame gamanisthunna gotthagaa
That's playing on my phone. I like that song.
Call my phone. You'll get to listen to
Your mind's in disturbia, it's like the darkness is light
Disturbia, am I scaring you tonight?
Disturbia, ain't used to what you like
Disturbia, disturbia
But no better substitute to
Yaare koogaadali yaare horaadali,
yemme ninage saati illa
Or even,
Nanna haadu nannadhu, nanna jeeva nannadhu
Yendhedhigoo,Innendhigoo
Wonder if my dad's earning depends on my mom. Coz my mom's an obstretician and dad's a paediatrician.
What if I was at Las Vegas this right moment?
Day care schools in USA charge 1000$ per month itseems. Wow!! Got a career option if i don't get a PG seat. :)
A friend of mine always ends the conversation with "happy studying". Well, maybe these wishes are necessary to negate the frustration of studying!!.
Drug of choice for S.aureus food poisoning?- 'Nothing'!!.. Yippee!! one drug less to remember :)
6 hours 18 minutes, and not a single message recieved on my phone. Hello everyone!!! I exist!!
I saw this on a bike- "Dad says no racing for kids".. Was that for others or for him?
My sister refers to my mom and my mom's best friend as 'chik-chik friends'.. huh?
A friend's friend got married tonight at a water park! The invitees could play around the water slides itseems.Hmmm, had never heard of anything like that.
The night's so silent.. peace :)
I know of a girl who's getting married. I pity her husband for the kinda girl she is!!
I did something new today.. yeah!!! :)
According to a preventive and social medicine textbook, 'youth' ends at the age of 25! Shit ya, so I have only two more years of youth remaining? poor me :(
Same old routine from tomorrow. Ouch!
I love myself :)
Okay , enough now. Good night everyone :)
Have a nice week ahead,

A girl to a guy trying to touch her, "Itna frustrate mat ho ki ek din castrate ho jayega"
( Don't be so frustrated that you get castrated one day). Lolz.. Fits those kinda buggers. :)
